Inside the Death Star

All my Minifigures have been quite keen on going inside the Death Star, but those that dared venture in, soon regretted it.

After seeing what happened to the last I.T. Guy, Howard was nervous about what would happen if he didn't get the Death Star's network back up and running.

Dancing on Ice

Yay! Following the arrival of the Ice Skater (ordered from eBay) earlier today my series 4 collection is complete.

Series 4 - Revisited

With still no sign of Series 6 in our nearest toy shop (Apparently, the delivery man hadn't packed them on the van.... silly sod!) I was feeling a little downhearted.

However, the shop lady said she still had a full box of Series 4, if that helped feed my habit. I was about to say I had them all when I realised that I actually hadn't ever finished my Series 4 collection. In fact I still needed four!

Wooppeee.... my mood lightened as I started to rummage through the box. We had only fondled a few when we found the Geisha.... next came the skater boy, followed by the Viking. Awesome! Now I only needed to find the Ice Dancer.  She was going to be hard to find and we were rapidly running out of time on our car-park ticket. I gave up, but I wasn't sad... I had three great figures to open. I was a happy bunny.

On arriving home the bags were torn open and again I wasn't disappointed. All great figures! Lookie!

Now just the Figure Skater to get to complete my collection. Hope she wont be too hard to find. She's probably my least favourite but even still it would be great to complete the collection.

Christmas came early...

Last Monday the most exciting parcel was pushed through my door.  A superb Christmas pressie from my friends in Scotland.  They are Internet friends who I met on Flickr, through our mutual fondness for Guinea Pigs. We have been in contact for a while and at the beginning of this year we finally briefly met during their honeymoon in Cornwall.

As I have previously said its only recently that I have admitted my love for Lego and it was only then that I found that Robert also shared this passion.  He said he had lots of swapsies from the first few Mini Figures series which I could have.  He then also offered some of the extra MiniKits that he had picked up over the years.  I was ecstatic. We hadn't really come up with any concrete price but then on Sunday he announced that he and Kim had decided to send them as Christmas gifts.  I was overwhelmed by their generosity and then completely amazed when the package arrived the next morning.

It was all wrapped up in Xmas paper though so I decided to wait until Christmas morning.  However excitement got the better of me.  I wanted to be good, but I wanted to see the Mini figures more! 

Mikey was home so he helped me open the package carefully and just remove the bag of mini figures.

(The rest of the contents were then sealed back up and put under the Christmas tree. The mini figures distracting my attention enough to keep my mind off what is still to come.  Watch this space for the MiniKits)

The detail on this are super, there is a zip down the back and the head has droplets of sweat; from him overheating in his warm suit. I love it!

Norman and Rene

Wooopppeee!

Today I move a little bit closer to completing my Series 4 Mini-Fig collection with the arrival of Norman the Gnome, who I sneakily ordered from eBay, due to my inability to find him by the usual means due to Series 4 outlets being few and far between now.

Then came the surprise arrival of Rene the Artiste; who we had decided had got lost in transit.  Tom posted him well over a week ago, but he never arrived.  However, yesterday Royal Mail posted a letter through our door saying they have an envelope at the sorting office for us, but they can't deliver it as the correct postage hadn't been paid. Thievin' sods wanted 12p. How dare they hold the debonair Rene hostage for all that time and demand a ransom. Mikey made a quick dash to the sorting office and Rene is now safely home.

Only 6 more from Series 4 to find....
